What is the sensitivity of the GloRunner™ and how does it compare to other microplate luminometers?

How fast does the GloRunner™ read a 96 well plate?
The reading time for an entire 96 well plate is approximately twenty-six seconds.

What do I need on my PC?
The GloRunner™ software is provided on a CD-ROM and is easy to install. You need to have at a minimum Windows® 95 and a serial port. The software will also operate on Windows® 98, 2000, and XP.

Do I have to dedicate a PC to it?
No, you can even use the PC for other purposes while the GloRunner™ is collecting data.

How does the GloRunner™ compare to the Reporter® Microplate Luminometer?
The Reporter® (no longer available from Turner Designs) and the GloRunner™ are similar in terms of look and feel. The Reporter® was approximately an order of magnitude more sensitive than the GloRunner™ for genetic reporter assays using luciferase. For chemiluminescent immunoassays, the GloRunner's™ sensitivity was equivalent to that of the Reporter®, and the dynamic range of the GloRunner™ is much wider than that of the Reporter®.
