The 20/20ⁿ Luminometer is an ultra-sensitive, versatile, and affordable luminometer for life science research. It is designed to run bioluminescent assays, such as reporter gene assays, as well as chemiluminescent assays. The Touchscreen Interface provides comprehensive instrument control and data collection.

The 20/20ⁿ without injector (2030-000) is suitable for glow reactions, including glow kinetics. The 20/20ⁿ with injectors (2030-001 and 2030-002) enable the user to measure flash and flash kinetic reactions as well as dual luciferase assays. An optional snap-in fluorescent module is available for adding fluorescence measuring capability.

Superior Performance

Sensitive
The 20/20ⁿ Luminometer provides exceptional sensitivity for all luminescent assays. Proprietary circuitry and an advanced photon-counting photomultiplier tube (PMT) produces unmatched signal-to-noise ratios. With a detection limit of 1 x 10-21 moles (700 molecules) of luciferase using Promega's Luciferase Assay Reagent, the 20/20ⁿ is one of the most sensitive tube luminometers available.

With greater than 8 decades of linear dynamic range, the 20/20ⁿ Luminometer enables the user to measure both dim and bright samples without dilution. The extended dynamic range of the 20/20ⁿ minimizes the chance of detector saturation, and allows one to measure brighter samples.

Easy To Use

The 20/20ⁿ allows one to set up a new protocol from a single screen. The user will not invest any time learning complex software.

Promega Protocols are preloaded into the software to help the user get started. One can quickly select the protocol of interest and begin measurement.

Saving Protocols The user can save up to 18 protocols for future use.

Default Setting One can select "Default Protocol" for a quick and simple measurement.

Accessible Injector System

For the 20/20n models with injectors, the completely internal auto-injection system integration is an added convenience. Connections, priming and flushing are greatly simplified because the injectors are positioned right next to the sample compartment. Completely visible plumbing
eliminates problems and allows inspection of tubing and tips during flushing and priming.

Note: The 20/20n model without injector (2030-000) cannot be retrofitted with injectors. Please order the models with injectors (2030-001 for one injector or 2030-002 for two injectors) if injection is required.

20/20ⁿ Touchscreen Interface

The easy to use Touchscreen Interface makes the 20/20ⁿ simple to operate. Menu-driven prompts guide the user through protocol set up.

Customized Settings The user can change settings to automatically begin measurement once the lid is closed. Touchscreen tools allow adjustment of screen
contrast.

Sample IDs The user can choose to assign sample IDs or have the 20/20n automatically assign a sample ID based on the date.

One-Touch Troubleshooting Help is literally at the user's fingertips.

Data Handling

The 20/20ⁿ Touchscreen Interface offers advanced data handling. Data from the last 20 measurements are stored and at the user's fingertips.

Data Recording can be done via a printer in realtime.

Export Data to Excel The spreadsheet interface software allows one to export data to Microsoft^® Excel, thus simplifying data handling. Once the data are in Excel, the user can perform additional statistical functions for data analysis.

Flexible

8 Decades of Dynamic Range enable the user to measure all luminescent assays without calibration and gain switch.

Flexible Sample Compartment accommodates 1.5 mL microfuge tubes and 35 mm petri dishes. It is also possible to measure the light output from both liquid and solid samples.


Lid Start Adjust settings to start measurement immediately after the lid is closed.

Models with Injectors dispense reagents from 25-300 µL and enable one to measure flash reactions.

Fluorescent Modules (Optional) add flexibility and multi-functionality to the instrument. Two modules are configured for the most commonly used wavelengths; UV and BLUE. The Fluorescent Modules provide high sensitivity for fluorescent measurements of DNA, RNA, and protein quantitation. The low volume (100 - 200 µL) MiniCell glass cuvettes (P/N 7000-950) conserve precious samples and expensive reagents.

Light Standard (Optional) The 20/20ⁿ Luminometer Light Standard provides a quick and easy way to verify the performance of the 20/20ⁿ Luminometer. It allows the user to check the reproducibility, sensitivity, and linearity of the luminometer. It can be used for both short and long term stability checks of the detection system.
