WHAT WE
COVER
Turner BioSystems warrants its instruments and accessories to be free
from manufacturing defects under normal use and service for a period of
one year from the date of purchase.
If your instrument
becomes defective within one year of purchase, Turner BioSystems will
repair or replace your instrument free of charge, including surface shipping
costs if it is shipped within the United States. Outside the continental
United States, you will pay all shipping costs and custom duties in connection
with repair of the unit.
WHAT WE DO NOT COVER
Turner BioSystems is not responsible for replacing limited life parts,
such as lamps, or for replacing parts damaged by accident or neglect.
(Photomultipliers are covered by the warranty.) Your instrument must be
installed according to instructions in the User's Manual. Damage from
contact with corrosive elements is not covered. Damage caused by customer
modification of the instrument is not covered.
This warranty covers only Turner BioSystems products, and is not extended
to equipment used with our products. We are not responsible for accidental
or consequential damages, except in those states where this limitation
is not allowed. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you
may have other rights that vary from state to state.
SHIPPING
Although our instruments are built to withstand hard use, we cannot be
responsible for damage incurred during shipment of a repair instrument.
Therefore, to avoid both cosmetic and structural damage if the instrument
is shipped in the future, we recommend that you save the original packing
material in which we shipped the instrument.
OBTAINING SERVICE
Contact Turner BioSystems Technical Service Staff and describe the problem(s) you are experiencing. Our trained Technical
Support staff will suggest a series of possible causes and remedies. Carry
out any suggested modifications or tests. Never ship an instrument to
us without contacting us and obtaining our authorization. Often times
the problem is a relatively simple and can be solved with our assistance.
If it is determined by the Turner BioSystems service representative that
the instrument should be returned for repair, a Return Materials Authorization
(RMA) number will be assigned. If you are in the United States, pack the
instrument well, preferably in the original packing material; insure it;
write the RMA number on the outside of the shipping carton and ship it
to us prepaid. If the instrument is under warranty, we will repair or
replace the unit, pay for return shipment, and include a check to reimburse
you for the cost of surface shipment to us. If the instrument is not under
warranty, we will give you a cost estimate before repairing the unit.
Repair and shipping costs both ways are your responsibility if the instrument
is not under warranty.
If you are
outside the United States and have purchased the instrument from a Turner
BioSystems distributor, please contact that distributor to obtain technical
and service assistance. If you purchased directly from Turner BioSystems,
please contact us directly for technical and service assistance.
